[Apologies for duplicate copies]

Fellow Colleagues and Friends of the Synthetic Biology Community,

Thank you to all those that made it out to the AAAI: Synthetic Biology + AI Conference last year. Last year's highlights included a diverse government panel that spanned DARPA, NIH, NSF, and SBME, strong representation across academia, government and industry, great round table discussions on the gaps in synthetic biology that AI can address, a great keynote by Dr. Ron Weiss, and finally, the ethics behind the integration of the two fields.

Now in its second year, we are looking to organize the conference again but with a different structure and underlying theme. While we will be keeping the paper submissions and presentations, we will focus this year on organizing smaller working groups within the conference to address a (or a set) of particular challenges in the integration of AI and synthetic biology.

If you are interested in participating, please fill out the form below and provide any input you have to challenges you have seen in your work that you'd like a larger group to address. Filling out the form is not commitment of attendance but a show of interest that we need to get the track approved. If/when approved, the dates this year are November 7-9, 2019 in Arlington, VA.

Thank you all for your time,
Aaron on behalf of Syn Bio + AI Organizing Committee
